Welcome to the online home of ArcticFlame

Fire, the passion and belief in one's music and one's self. Ice, the ability to ignore all who criticize or think they know what's best and continue doing what you believe in. These are just two of the qualities found in heavy metal's newest member, ArcticFlame. In a world where everyone follows the flavor of the month, AF sticks to their guns and creates music they grew up on and continue to enjoy.

The band returned home last night from a totally great event in Andernach, Germay, performing at the SwordBrothers 5th Crusade festival. Thanks to Volker for all his hard work. He takes care of all the bands he works with and it showed. The after party with all the bands was a complete blast. Everyone of the bands that performed that night were cool and it made it a true brotherhood of metal. Sacred Steel kept us laughing with all the beer throwing amongst themselves. Hope the blood brothers and the rest of the band from Crystal Viper made it home ok. Damn, there was a lot of blood in the dressing room from such a tiny cut! To our Canadian brothers in Valkyries Cry, hope no one tried to pick up in Cologne!! Deju Vu impressed us with their great set and were really cool people as were the guys in Reaper and Desperation. Blitzkrieg ended the night with a fantastic set. As for ArcticFlame, they performed a really impressive and energetic set this night and it showed by the crowds reaction. But it wouldn't be the usual ArcticFlame show without some kind of "techinical difficulty". During "Steel Angels", Steves amp just shut off but the SB5 stage crew quickly chased the gremlins away and restored power. Bassist Jon Norberg got the audience going by jumping into the crowd and playing to them face to face. By the end of the set, AF performed an encore and the metal maniacs asked for another but due to the time restaints, could only do the one. Most of the material was from the "Primeval Aggressor" CD but they also played 2 new songs, "Lords of the Wasteland" and "Desert Moon". The band made a lot of new metal friends and hope to soon return. Thanks again to Germany for the great and memorable time that the band will never forget. Also Henk "de Tank" Bosma sent over some photos. They are posted on the "photos" page. Thanks Henk!!!

Well the title for the next ArcticFlame CD has finally been established. "Declaration" should be finished at the end of the summer. Due to scheduling conlicts, relocation of their studio, and the recording of the next Attacker CD, Mike Sabatini will not be able to finish the rest of the AF project. Dave Manheimer who just completed the new Symphony X record will produce the bands second effort.
