Welcome to the online home of ArcticFlame

Fire, the passion and belief in one's music and one's self. Ice, the ability to ignore all who criticize or think they know what's best and continue doing what you believe in. These are just two of the qualities found in heavy metal's newest member, ArcticFlame. In a world where everyone follows the flavor of the month, AF sticks to their guns and creates music they grew up on and continue to enjoy.

The band has just been confirmed to open for the mighty Hammerfall on Saturday, March 7th at the Irving Plaza in NYC. Well that's the day after drummer Mike P's birthday, so all you drunken bastards come out and celebrate the old man's birthday. More info to follow..

Just a little info on whats been going on lately. Well after literally cleaning up all the beer cans that's been left behind after practice, the band started work on their next album. Some of these songs carry like material from their first album but with some thrashy elements (2-3 songs) while others could have been included on their 2nd. Pre-production work has been started on a few songs. Sebastian has been hard a work laying doing scratch tracks on material that he has written as well as bassist Jon Norberg. Below are a list of those songs though titles may change between now and the final sessions. The band seems to be making changes as they go along, driving some of the bandmates crazy...but it's all good. Here are the working titles, meaning and their progression: Album title-TBA The Creeper (Garcia/Paradine)...a creature that feeds off the living and dead....scratch tracks complete Wages of War (Norberg/Garcia/Paradine)...through the eyes of a soldier...scratch completed A Wailing at Glen Corr (Norberg/Garcia/Paradine)...fictional account of Phil Lynotts Death...scratch complete Guardian at the Gate (Garcia/Paradine)...the difficulties on beating an addiction...scratch complete Blood Motor (Garcia/Paradine)...car that runs on blood....scratch complete Gardens of Stone (Saunders/Paradine)....observing the seasons change in a cementary...orchestration being worked on. Falkenfels (Blicharz)...instrumental...being rehearsed Warhead (Marino/Paradine)...cover of a Balistik Kick song...last to be worked on Untitled..epic song by Jon Norberg...needs to be rehearsed Cult (temporary title) (Garcia/Norberg/?)-needs lyrics, melody and title....scratch tracks done Castle (Blicharz)....needs to be rehearsed Knowing the band, some of these will be changed but from the looks of things, not many. Maybe a new song or two will pop up. The band is taking their time but hopes to have pre-production done by end of December and a final done by February. But we well know that things with this band never goes as planned Well....thanks for checking in and....flame on!!!!! Cheers.....

The band performed at the Iron and Steel festival on Oct 17th and though attendance was less than expected, the band had a great time. Many good upcoming bands such as Burning Shadows and Eternal Winter were impressive. Horrifier and Lethal Strike added the thrash element and kept the night interesting. AF played for 40 minutes with the usual gremlins playing tricks with the stage props, though Morty was in full metal form. Faith Factor played their usual blistering set of metal and Kreyson proved that there are some great metal bands in the Czech Republic. Ross the Boss got the venue going with their hour plus set. There was a great backstage party with all the bands talking and puking metal. With some of the bands coming from Europe, one has to wonder what they must think of the metal fans here in America. It's nothing for European fans to go to festivals in the hundreds and thousands while American fans stay at home. Hats off to the Europeans. Some interesting news will be coming shortly concerning the band. So come back in a few days...
